About
Marriage Prep 101
Marriage Prep 101 is presented by Dr.
Michelle Gannon and Dr. Patrick
Gannon, both licensed psychologists
in private practice in San Francisco. Marriage
Prep 101 is a 10 hour weekend workshop for
engaged, newlywed and seriously dating couples
that teaches communication, conflict resolution
and intimacy enhancement skills for couples
to create successful, enduring relationships.
Skill-based workshops like Marriage Prep 101
have been shown in three research studies
to reduce the risk of divorce by up to 30%.
The best way to “divorce proof”
your marriage is to create a long lasting
relationship.
Drs.
Michelle and Patrick Gannon draw from their
combined 30 years of professional clinical
experience, as well as the latest research
that shows how marriages succeed or fail.
They also share insights and solutions from
their own marriage and family life. The Gannons
have been married for thirteen years and are
the parents of two young boys. Patrick and
Michelle know that successfully married couples
need to prioritize their time together and
work on their relationship in positive, proactive
and intentional ways.
The
Gannons have taught over 60 Marriage Prep
101 workshops to some 1000 couples in San
Francisco and have presented at national conferences.
Marriage Prep 101 workshops have been featured
in San Francisco Chronicle, Marin Independent
Journal, Contra Costa Times, Here Comes The
Guide, Modern Bride and Today’s Bride.
The Gannons have been guests on the Ronn Owens
Radio Show, “Sex With Emily” radio/podcast
and featured on the KGO- TV Perfect Wedding
Guide and Evening Magazine TV. They are also
contributing writers to national bridal websites
and magazines. They have been awarded “Best
of the Bay” by the San Francisco Bay
Guardian four years in a row. The Gannons
and Marriage Prep 101 were also featured on
the CBS Early Show.
